This was a project for my field ecology class. We were given the task of researching a category of native Hawaiian creatures with a partner. My partner and I chose to do stream species. We had cover at least three creatures, and we had to provide a description of the creature, it's habitat, it's endangered status, and provide some fun facts for each. Then, we had to present our slides to the class.
Reflection
The 21st century skill that I believe best represents this project is the interpersonal skill. This project was a group project, and that required me to collaborate with one of my classmates. We had to decide who covered what creature, and who would present what slides, then successfully present together. We had to be able to work together successfully to get the project done.
I am proud of he fact that I was able to share more information about Hawaii's native species for this project. In field ecology we learned a lot about native Hawaiian creatures, and how in danger they really are. Having the opportunity to share more of that information with my class was a good thing. If I could do this project again, I would have made sure my partner and I were able to get everything done in class, rather than having to do some of the slides at home. We were given class time to work on the assignment, but we ended up stalling during that time, and ultimately had to complete the slides on our time.
